Ballet and New Nightgown

Addilee is so excited to be taking Ballet. She wanted Grammy and Papa (and everyone else) to see her new Ballet clothes.
Addilee has been asking if she could get pajamas like mine. I have one with a pocket on the shirt therefore she wants PJ's with a pocket. I also have another pair with a bow on the shirt and you guessed it, she wants PJ's with a bow. I decided to make her PJ's, but when she saw the pattern (that had several pictures of different PJ's that could be made with the same pattern) she decided that she wanted a nightgown. Here is Addilee's requested nightgown. She picked out the fabric, buttons and everything else. I put one pocket in it low enough for her to put her hand in and she said that she liked it, but could she have a pocket up higher like Mom's PJ's. The pockets are just big enough to be useful for holding dolls (very small dolls).

Easter and the County Fair

The girls had a great time finding Easter eggs and then hiding them and finding them again. It is fun to have a backyard to hide Easter eggs in.

We went to the County Fair with Marsha. Joriann LOVED the animals. She kept saying look, look. We saw cows, pigs, chickens, roosters, rabbits, goats, etc. Pretty much anything that old McDonald had we saw. Old McDonald is Joriann's favorite song. She sings e-i-e-i-o.

Joriann was amazed with her eyes wide open the whole time we were there.

Walk Around the Temple

We took the girls to the temple to show them where Mom and Dad were married and where we go on occasional date nights. It was a beautiful day and a fun experience.

Leaky Hose

My two water bugs. I was watering my garden with the hose and when I turned around Joriann was taking a shower in the leaking hose. Sister Addilee thought this was a great idea and so since one was already soaked I might as well let both get soaked. They had fun making foot prints on the side walk. Baths were a must that night!

Cookie Maker, Cake Baker

Addilee is my cookie, brownie, cupcake maker. She loves to help make sweet treats in the kitchen. I love to cook with her. She gets soooo excited. We made heart shaped cookies for our pre-school class and every one loved to decorate them and of course eat them. yum!

Alysia's Birthday

Here are my cute kids. Addilee helped make my birthday cake and she helped decorate it. It was so cute to see her excited about doing something for mom. Joriann got to HELP too. It was more like touching and sampling the frosting.

New tooth brushes. Who knew life could be so exciting?

Little Artist

Addilee is becoming quite the artist. She likes to draw people and then she writes their names. usually an H or an A and then circles or scribbles. She is starting to really like to write letters. It is fun to watch her draw.

Happy Birthday!!

Addilee is now our big 3 year old. I can't believe that she is that old. We love to be with her she is so fun and says the funniest things. She really is a delight to be with. Joriann and Addilee are fun girls. They love each other and really enjoy playing together. Addilee can get her to laugh so quickly. It is so nice to hear them play together and see how much they enjoy being together.

Addilee finally got to have a birthday cake. It was so fun this year because she got to pick everything. We got Backyardigans decorations, Lightning McQueen cake, and pizza to eat. We all really had a fun time picking everything out.

Lightning McQueen

Here is the cake and YES the black road tar is icing.

Nate lit the candles and he said, "Wait until I get the video camera before you start singing." Apparently Addilee did not hear him because she started to sing happy birthday to her self loud and excitedly. She has talked about everyone singing happy birthday and then blowing out her candles ever since Nate's birthday, so she was not going to wait for some silly video camera.

Addilee loved her cake and with it she got a real Lightning McQueen car that has a pull back and go feature. She didn't like the cake as much as she liked the icing especially the black icing. She wanted to eat it with her fingers, being the good parents we are we let her do it because it was her birthday. Not only did she turn black and was stained on her fingers and lips, but the next day when she took care of business her poop was a dark turquoise color. Nate and I almost wondered what marker she had been playing with and how it got on her bum? (note to self if icing is that dark it probably isn't good for your system. Oh well, she loved it and is probably back to normal.
